The young people meet with the adults for worship on a Sunday morning before moving into their own groups.
As a group the young people are encouraged to explore what the Bible says on issues that are current and particularly pertinent to
youth and youth culture. Being a lively group we have some very interesting debates and discussions.
We openly share testimony and prayer requests.
The younger people of the church are very supportive of each other and obviously enjoy being together.
A number of our young people were baptised in 2015 after completing a baptism course which explored reasons for following
Jesus and why baptism is a witness and testimony of our desire to live for Christ.
The youth group are becoming more involved in leading in church. They prepared and delivered a harvest service for the church. At
Christmas they wrote their own play- based on The Jeremy Kyle Show. This very innovative take on the Christmas story centred
round Herod who was insisting he was the true king of the Jews. All the young people were involved in writing and acting in the play.
Once a month we have an evening where we share a meal together and join in a number of games and activities.
We are often joined by visitors on these evenings and these young people are always made very welcome.
